Jekyll Island proudly refers to itself as "Georgia's Jewel." It's less than forty miles away and offers miles of beaches, over 60 holes of golf, and centuries of history and culture.

In the other direction, there is the massive Okefenokee Swamp. Established in 1936 to preserve over 400,000 acres, the swamp is one of the oldest and most preserved freshwater areas in America.

Cumberland Island is Georgia's largest and southernmost barrier island. Visit undeveloped beaches, pristine maritime forests and view the same wide marshes that explorers found centuries ago.

St. Simons Island is another nearby barrier island featuring golf, fine dining, and more. It is home to Fort Frederica National Monument, established in 1736 to protect Great Britain's 13th colony from the Spanish.
